Lower Kissimmee Basin Water Supply Plan

lower Kissimmee basin water supply mapThe Lower Kissimmee Basin Water Supply Planning Area includes portions of Okeechobee, Highlands and Glades counties. The South Florida Water Management District developed the 2019 Lower Kissimmee Basin Water Supply Plan Update (LKB Update) to assess projected water demands and potential sources of water for the period from 2017 to 2040. This plan will be used by agricultural stakeholders, local governments and utilities in their planning and to update and modify local comprehensive plans, facility work plans and ordinances.
