
The South Florida Water Management District (District) is advancing the Central and Southern Florida Flood Resiliency Study – Broward Basins with support from the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, Broward County, and technical/federal assistance from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers – Jacksonville District.
The District is hosting a Draft Tentatively Selected Plan Public Meeting to present the Final Array of Alternatives and respective comprehensive project benefits along with the Draft Tentatively Selected Plan.
The goal of this study is to develop, evaluate and recommend flood risk management measures and adaptation strategies that provide flood resiliency in areas served by the C&SF system, now and in the future.
The objective of this study is to enhance the existing C&SF system water control structures by improving functionality and capacity to reduce flood damages and improve resiliency.
