Effective Immediately: All SFWMD-managed lands in Orange, Osceola, Polk, Highlands, Okeechobee, Glades, Hendry, St. Lucie, Martin and Palm Beach counties are now open. All other SFWMD-managed lands remain open for public access.

The South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD) will temporarily close SFWMD-Managed Lands in Orange, Osceola, Polk, Highlands, Okeechobee, Glades, Hendry, St. Lucie, Martin and Palm Beach counties today, Tuesday, November 8 at 5:00pm in preparation of Tropical Storm Nicole.
The SFWMD-Managed Lands are expected to re-open as conditions warrant after the storm passes Central and Southern Florida.

SFWMD-managed lands in Lee and Collier counties will open today, Wednesday, October 26 at 5:00 p.m. All other SFWMD-managed lands are open for public access.
Some lands may have campgrounds and interior vehicle access roads that are temporarily closed. Please check what is open/closed before you arrive. Email specialuselicense@sfwmd.gov with questions.

The South Florida Water Management District will re-open public access to SFWMD-Managed Lands in Hendry, St. Lucie, Martin, Palm Beach, Broward and Miami-Dade counties today, Monday, October 3 at 5:00 p.m. Public access was temporarily closed due to Hurricane Ian. All other SFWMD-Managed Lands remain closed until further notice.
