Statewide Model Management System (SMMS)

The Florida Statewide Model Management System (SMMS) is a GIS based model management system. It integrates modeling information from from the five Florida water management districts and the Florida Department of Environmental Protection. This information includes input/output data, source code/executable files, documentation, as well as pre-processed and post-processed model results for different types of modeling such as hydrologic, hydraulic, hydrodynamic, water quality and ecological modeling.

SMMS allows users to easily navigate, browse, query, view and download a variety of modeling information through an interactive map launched within the web browser. Using selection criteria, the user can find information regarding projects and related models. Once the desired model is identified, the user can download model code, input and output files and documentation through the application interface.

To launch the SMMS application, please click on the "Launch SMMS Application" link below.

Disclaimer

The Statewide Model Management System (SMMS) is an archival system for the models used in the various projects of the five Florida water management districts and the Department of Environmental Protection. Models archived in the system were obtained either from project managers, consultants and modelers from state and federal agencies.

Any model, including but not limited to input and output files, documentation and ancillary information downloaded from the SMMS is provided "AS IS" without warranty of any kind, and the SMMS sponsor agencies Florida water management districts (WMDs) and the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) expressly disclaim all express and implied warranties, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. The entire risk as to the results and performance of any information obtained from the SMMS is entirely assumed by the users.
