Prior to the release of the Final ASR Science Plan Version 2, the District held a technical workshop with an independent peer review scientific panel for the ASR program. The workshop included the progress of ASR well studies conducted for the Lake Okeechobee Watershed Restoration Project, a component of the Comprehensive Everglades Restoration Plan.
Additionally, the workshop discussed scientific investigations related to ASR wells including water quality treatment, hydro-geological, geochemical, and ecological studies, and other related scientific studies and modeling conducted by the District and the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center.
