Our trash just might be your treasure!
DID YOU KNOW: The South Florida Water Management District sells its surplus items through online auction.
WHAT ARE SURPLUS ITEMS: The District uses many types of professional items and equipment to carry out its public service mission. Once these items have served their useful life and they are no longer needed by the District, they are offered for sale to the public.
COMMITMENT TO FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY: As part of our ongoing commitment to fiscal responsibility, District staff work diligently to maximize the value of surplus items. Regardless of whether the items are old, dusty, or dented, the District’s team ensures the best possible return when they are sold.
Last year, the sale of surplus items generated more than $1 million in revenue for the District and its taxpayers.
