
Due to Hurricane Ian's effects on many stakeholders in the Lower West Coast Planning Area, the South Florida Water Management District is extending the public comment period on the Draft 2022 Lower West Coast Water Supply Plan Update to Friday, November 4.

The plan assesses current and projected water needs in the LWC Water Supply Planning Area through 2045. The planning area encompasses Lee County and portions of Charlotte, Collier, Glades, Hendry and Monroe counties. We strongly encourage your input and comments to ensure the plan update addresses the needs of the region.
An overview of the Draft 2022 Lower West Coast Water Supply Plan Update was provided at the third public meeting about the Lower West Coast Water Supply Plan Update on September 1, 2022. The draft planning document and appendices were posted to the South Florida Water Management District's website on August 25, 2022.
