West Palm Beach, FL – The South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD) will be hosting two upcoming public scoping meetings on the Everglades Agricultural Area Water Storage Reservoir project.
The first of these meetings will be held at the John Boy Auditorium in Clewiston on Oct. 23. The second will be held at SFWMD headquarters in West Palm Beach on Oct. 26. SFWMD staff will present identical information during both scoping meetings.
The SFWMD presentation to the public will define the purpose and need for the southern reservoir, highlight the project's schedule, as well as solicit feedback from interested parties and stakeholders. These meetings are part of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) process. The NEPA process provides opportunity for the public to give input related to the EAA Water Storage Reservoir project.
