Since February, 2018, the District has proposed several revisions to the Caloosahatchee River MFL criteria, using a resource-based approach to determine the flow requirements of multiple ecological indicators. Two public workshops were held in Fort Myers on May 31 and June 20, 2019 to receive additional public input on potential alternative approaches, and to present the results of additional analyses. At the September 20, 2019 public workshop, the District will discuss currently proposed rule language along with the details of the monitoring plan for ecological indicators. For more information and to obtain a copy of the workshop agenda, please contact Don Medellin,, (561) 682-6340.
