GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE DISCUSSED: 

This workshop will provide an opportunity for stakeholder input on proposed rules to protect water made available by the LRWRP. The workshop will provide an overview of the relevant project components and rule development process.

The workshop agenda is attached. Drafts of the Technical Document Supporting Rulemaking to Protect Water Made Available by the LRWRP, rule language, pertinent sections of the Applicant’s Handbook for Water Use Permit Applications within the South Florida Water Management District, and other relevant documents are available on the District’s rulemaking webpage at https://www.sfwmd.gov/rules.

The District welcomes public comments on the rule development effort and associated documents. Workshop attendees will have an opportunity to pose questions and comments following the presentations. Additionally, stakeholders may provide written comments before or after the workshop. Written comments must be emailed to Natalie Kraft at nkraft@sfwmd.gov by February 7, 2022. All written comments received will be posted on the District’s web conferencing board at http://sfwmd.websitetoolbox.com in the SFWMD MFL and Water Reservation Categories/Rulemaking to Protect Water Made Available by the LRWRP forum.
