Loxahatchee River Preservation Initiative Meeting

GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE DISCUSSED: 
This is a public meeting to discuss and consider Loxahatchee River Preservation Initiative business, including current and future projects and activities.

Since its inception in 2000, the Loxahatchee River Preservation Initiative (LRPI) has guided regional watershed restoration projects within northeastern Palm Beach County and southern Martin County. The LRPI is a multi-agency partnership between the South Florida Water Management District, Florida Department of Environmental Protection (Florida Park Service), Friends of the Loxahatchee River, Jupiter Inlet District (JID), Loxahatchee River Environmental Control District (LRD), Martin County, Palm Beach County, South Indian River Water Control District (SIRWCD), Town of Jupiter, and Village of Tequesta. The LRPI uses state and local funding for restoration projects with tangible environmental benefits aimed at preserving and protecting the resource for future generations to enjoy.

All members of the public are invited to participate and will have an opportunity to provide public comment. The public is advised that it is possible that one or more members of the Governing Board of the South Florida Water Management District may attend this meeting. No Governing Board action will be taken.
