Landowners Meeting for Indian River Lagoon South

GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE DISCUSSED: 

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District, in cooperation with its state partner, the South Florida Water Management District, will host a landowners meeting on Aug. 25.

This meeting will update potentially affected landowners of neighboring communities, for the ongoing construction of IRL- S C-23/C-24 Stormwater Treatment Area located 10 miles west of Fort Pierce along State Road 70.

Additionally, the meeting will highlight the construction of all the cells, collection and distribution canals, and their associated water control structures.

Engineers and staff will also discuss how water will be distributed from the planned C-23/C-24 North Reservoir and pumped from the C-24 canal to bring water from the planned C-23/C-24 South Reservoir for treatment.
