West Palm Beach, FL - There's a new way to "like" the South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD).
The District today joined more than 1.8 billion social media users around the world on Facebook. The SFWMD Facebook page will provide a new online hub for project and program updates, water conservation and flood control tips, event listings, emergency management information, close-up looks at staff at work and much more.
"By connecting to the world's most popular social media network, the District has fully entered the 21st century in communications," said SFWMD Governing Board member Melanie Peterson. "Facebook opens a whole new avenue for the millions of people we serve to get information on how we are managing and protecting South Florida's water resources."
