The South Florida Water Management District is headquartered in West Palm Beach.
At convenient locations in Fort Myers, Orlando and Okeechobee, our three regional Service Centers offer local assistance with District permitting and provide regulatory oversight in their respective service areas. A fourth Service Center in Naples is responsible for managing the primary flood control system of the Big Cypress Basin and protecting regional water supplies and environmental resources.
Working throughout our 16-county jurisdiction, Outreach and Intergovernmental Representatives develop partnerships with local governments and community groups and create a better understanding of local water resource issues through outreach and education activities.
Eight Field Stations serve as operational bases for staff involved in maintaining and operating the water control structures, machinery and lands associated with our regional water management systems.
