Service Centers were established to offer District services and expertise at local levels, and facilitate the formation of partnerships with local governments and community groups. Service Center staff provide more direct and more responsive access to agency functions and expertise, and are dedicated to becoming familiar with local issues, perspectives and concerns.
We work with local governments, business and community groups and educators to create a better understanding of local as well as regional water resource issues.

Our staff includes community and inter-governmental outreach specialists, who promote an understanding of the District and its programs. Technical specialists and project managers can help provide access to District data and research, and work to build public and private partnerships to improve flood protection, conserve water, create alternative water supplies, enhance water quality, and protect and restore natural systems.
