The Okeechobee Service Center provides water resource education opportunities to the local community through events, educators, media, government and elected officials. The service center was established to strengthen the area’s understanding of local water resource management initiatives and provide contact for local agencies and governments and residents of the community.
The SFWMD offers a wide variety of publications and brochure pieces and offers a Speaker’s Bureau presenting talks about projects and initiatives that are helping to restore Lake Okeechobee, the St. Lucie Estuary, the Caloosahatchee River, the Indian River Lagoon, the Everglades and the Stormwater Treatment Areas (STAs). It would be our pleasure to meet with your organization and answer your questions.
