	Welcome to the Martin/St. Lucie Service Center � where we are "Turning the Tide Together." Our staff is eager to assist you with your questions about water issues on the Treasure Coast. We work closely with local governments as well as the business and community groups on water resource issues vital to this area. SFWMD and Martin County Partner to Protect St. Lucie River Watershed - Four projects funded to improve water quality in river and estuary. (July 11) Oyster Monitoring in St. Lucie Estuary Helps Document Water Quality. (June 10) Land Acquisition Benefits Indian River Lagoon and St. Lucie Estuary. (May 27) Section of C-24 Canal Closed for Hurricane Erosion Repairs. (May 20) The Martin/St. Lucie Staff can help you with your local permitting, share information about projects to restore/clean up the Indian River Lagoon and the St. Lucie River, or about our planning efforts for the water supply of the Upper East Coast. The Service Center manages over $20 million annual in local projects � all designed to improve water quality and habitat in the St. Lucie Estuary and Indian River Lagoon. On the Treasure Coast, we've heard your concerns about water quality and we're focusing on projects in Martin and St. Lucie Counties to improve water quality, including the creation of large reservoirs and stormwater treatment wetlands to store and clean the water before it is released into the Estuary.
